Nikki Gil New Album "Somebody To Love"

Nikki had just launched her latest CD titled “Somebody To Love” under PolyEast Records. Containing an all-original lineup, Nikki describes it as “a brave effort” at a time when remakes rule the OPM scene. Somebody To Love, her third studio effort, starts promisingly with the lead single SOMEBODY TO LOVE, wrote by her sister Dani Gil (who also wrote Nikki’s past single HEAR MY HEART).

On her new album, Nikki embraces her sophistication being a woman-in-love and the joy of new found independence in such a way that we seem to be witnessing the moments when a young artist has a staying power and here’s something to prove it.

As Nikki unleashes more of her craft particularly in how she blurs lines between classic soul, modern rhythms, jazz, pop melodies, and singer/songwriter sensibility, highlight of the album gives us a real-love-masterpiece singing with Billy Crawford in the compelling YOU ARE MY LIFE, which was also penned by Billy himself. Collecting songs from the finest songwriters and producers, Nikki’s album boasts masterpieces from David Pomeranz, Marcus Davis, Wency Cornejo, Arni Mendaros and PolyEast’s Chito Ilagan. The other titles are “I Will Be Loving You,” “Magbabalik Ka Pa Ba,” “Time And Again,” “Last Love,” “I’ll Be Yours” and “Bawat Hakbang.”
